What is on my christmas wish list?

With it been only six more days until Christmas! (yes only 6, where has this year gone??)

I thought I would show you what I have kindly asked for Christmas this year.

I do know I have got a few of these already! Lucky lucky me, but I did have to go get colour matched and help my mum get them - plus she came to visit for the weekend a couple of weeks ago, so we had a lovely shopping day.

I have been dying to try this for a good year now, and finally, I have asked for it for Christmas! (This is on that I know I have, and oh I am excited for Christmas day!)

I love this, I'm not so keen about the necklace added on, but it is detachable. Perfect New Years Eve dress for me!

Urban Decay Naked 2 Palette - £37.00 Buy Here!

Now I know the Naked 3 Palette I out now, but I just have been in love with this one for ages now and haven't been able to afford it, I do love the look of the Naked 3, but not as much as I love the colour selection in this one, I love that there is a deep black, but then all the neutrals that I basically use on a everyday basis! This will be my first Naked palette. I cannot wait to play with this!!

Again, this has been on my wish list for around a year, and I think I have this I spotted something hiding in one of my mums draws when I went home last weekend. (No I wasn't looking on purpose, I promise!!)

Soap and Glory, One Heck Of A Blot - £12.00 Buy Here!

Again, this is something I have lusted after, read rave reviews but never actually got round to purchasing it. I also feel £12.00 is a lot for a drug store powder, I love Rimmel Stay Matte and that's £4 and I'm happy to pay that, but £12! So, of course I asked for it for Christmas!

Now, lets be honest, how beautiful are these!? Again, I would never buy myself a pare of boots this expensive! (However next winter I am, I must of spent around £100 on £30 boots this winter because they just don't last! So next year, I WILL pay that much and hope they last longer then 2 months!)

I know I wont be getting these for Christmas, because I have another pair off misguided that aren't online anymore, I did want to include a beautiful pair of boots though, and these really are beautiful aren't they!

Nearly Over

So Christmas is nearly here and the exam period is over!

Tomorrow I will be free from uni for about 2 weeks to enjoy the festive period, eat mince pies and drink too much mulled wine!

Then sadly I have to get back to writing my dissertation. How upsetting. So you should see some more posts coming from me soon!

20 Questions Tag - Get to know me better!

 



1.Thing you cannot leave the house without: Defiantly my phone and purse always. However longer trips will include my makeup bag etc.

2.Favorite brand of makeup: High street is most likely Sleek. I don't think I have found a product yet that I dislike. The lipsticks are sensational, powder is top notch. Yeah. Sleep for high street. And for high end between MAC and Benefit I would say.

3.Favorite Flowers: I have never really thought about this, I love big daisies and lilies, but I think lilies are pretty standard favourite flowers arnt they? 

4.Fav clothing stores: Topshop or H&M.

5.Fav perfume: Coach - Poppy, my dad picks my perfume each year for Christmas, he is an absolute genius and has never disappointed me and this was his pick this year for my birthday. I love it.

6.Heels or flats: Heels, they make everything better.

7.Do you make good grades?: Obviously an American tag, ermm do I make good grades? I'm not so sure.. but if its Do I get good grads.. then bang average.

8.Fav colours: Burnt Orange

9.Do you drink energy drinks?: Not massively, I drink them from time to time.

10.Do you drink juice?: Yes, fresh or cordial love juice.

11.Do you like swimming?: I really love swimming, I don't get enough, I just find it relaxing.

12.Do you eat fries with a fork?: If I'm at a restaurant then yes, Mcdonalds then no. Haha.

13.Whats your fav moisturizer?: I change between Simple - Rich moisture and Garnier - Intensive moister, the new one in the pale pink tube. As you can see by my choices I have rather dry skin!

14.Do you want to get married later on in life?: Of course!

15.Do you get mad easily?: Hmm, yes and no. Depends who you are and what mood I am in. I can put up with ALOT before getting mad.

16.Are you into ghost hunting?: No

17.Any phobias?: I don't really HATE anything, I dislike spiders and snakes. and sick. ew.

18.Do you bite your nails?: Yes, and I hate it. I just cant stop!

19.Have you ever had a near death experience?: Nope

20.Do you drink coffee? No, I love tea though!

All I Want For Christmas - TAG!

Ok, just another quick post while I procrastinate from doing my essay!

Totally watched this tag from MissBudgetBeauty in the bath this morning!

Obviously I'm not going to youtube it, but it looked fun to answer on my blog! 

1. What's your favorite thing about the holidays? Food! I am a massive foodie, love it all. The only time where no one can judge because we are all doing the same! And family times of course. It really is the most wonderful time of the year! See what I did there??
2. Does it snow where you live? If so, do you like it? It does snow where we live, and for the past two years its snowed quite a lot when coming into the new year! I love it, I love watching it and walking in it until it turns to slush. And I do NOT like snow balls fights. They hurt, it's cold and then it burns. Why would you want to do that?

3. Do you or have you been ice skating? I have been a few times through my life, I can do it and it is a laugh, maybe I will make an effort to go this year.

4. favourite Christmas movie? Elf.. easy I don't even have to think about that one.

5. favourite winter drink from starbucks? I don't like starbucks! I am a costa hot chocolate girl with whipped cream and marshmallows. So I get that in the amazing festive cups this year.

6. Do you believe in Santa? Of course, he is real right?

7. Have you ever made a snowman/snow angel? Yes and yes! However I think I have only made a snow angel once due to snow making its way down the neck of my coat and my back! wasn't pleasant.

8. Do you have any special family traditions? We used to have our immediate family Christmas dinner on Christmas eve and then on Christmas day all my family would get together. However we don't do this anymore and its just not the same.

9. When do you start decorating for Christmas? I would say around the 12th December - 15th at home. At uni we have always got a tree and that goes up fairly early. We even have a Christmas day at university with Christmas dinner and Christmas songs. Ammmazzing.

10. Favorite Christmas song? Last Christmas - But by the female singer and I don't know her name!

11. Will you be under the mistletoe this year? Only with my boyfriend. haha.

12. What are some of the things you want for Christmas this year? Oh only a few things... honest... But at the top, Urban Decay Naked 2 pallet and Bobbi Brown concealer. Also, Lauren Conrad - Beauty and Bobbi Brown - Makeup Manual! How excited will I be on Christmas morning to unwrap those? VERY.

13. What's your most expensive item on your wish list? Naked 2 Pallet, £36. However I was actually with my mum this weekend when she came to visit and we happened to get in on Debenhams 105 off weekend. So it was a little cheaper.

14. What is one thing you don't like about this holiday? Ermm, I'm actually racking my brains to think and in all honesty - nothing.

15. Do you go all out for Christmas decorations? Me personally? Not really, maybe but some fairy lights up in my room for the occasion. When I'm a big girl with my own house I think I will.

16. When do you take down your Christmas decorations? At home its just after New years, we don't have them up long at all. My brothers birthday is on the 2nd so we take them down after then.

Well there you go! I most certaintly enjoyed doing that. It got me out of doing my essay for a good 20 mins!

University stress!

So, Maybe I started a blog at the completely wrong time for me, I'm currently in the middle of my Third year as a said in my last post, however it's exam period.

Not only does this mean I'm a busy bee 24/7, it means it makes me want to cry from morning until night! Haha.

 

I will keep posting on this blog every now and then but until my third year is over I cant imagine I'll become a "Blogger" any time soon. However when my third year is over (May 2014) is when I really will start taking this seriously. But until then I have a BIG to do list..

This actually includes getting my camera fixed, because until then there will be no pretty makeup pictures!

 

So, while I write this I should be doing my essay, which the deadline is five days earlier than I thought. Yes I have gone into complete panic mode, and the only thing I could think of doing is writing my second ever post. haha. Priorities right?

 

So until I have some spare time to post again, Maybe I will do a "What I got for Christmas" post, because there is quite a few makeup items on my list!!

A big hello!

Well hello!

 

I'm Casey May and I love things all beauty. I'm currently at university studying tourism and believe me I hate it! I love the experience, but university isn't for me (especially tourism!).

 

This blog will be my journey on finishing university (nearly half way through my third year!) and moving on to becoming a makeup artist which is my absolute dream. I'm not sure how I'm going to get there or if I will be any good, but all I know is I love makeup and this is the industry I want to be in, so I thought I would take anyone who cares to read along with me.

 

I have wanted to start a blog for a long time now, but never had the courage. I wouldn't say I have the courage now but I have no one to talk to about make up and all things beauty, so that's when I told myself "Just do it! It doesn't matter if no one reads it, if you want to do it, then do it" so here I am today, writing my first blog post.

 

As I said I'm a university student and being honest I have no money - so most things I will review/write about/give my opinion will be budget (drug store) make up. Which when it comes to reading blogs, those are my fave!

 

So once again...
